Features

Ink management

The exclusive vacuum-packed and degassed ink management system is designed to obtain the maximum efficiency and ensure that no ink is wasted.

Facilitated access

Easy and safe access to the machine for inspections, management and maintenance operations.

Fabric loading and dragging

The efficient fabric loading and dragging system is studied to ensure highly precise printing speed and quality.

Flexibility

The broad resolution range and interlacing methods ensure high quality prints on any fabric type.

PrecisionCore printhead array

The new printhead array combines quality, precision, velocity and reliability with unprecedented results. It is the ultimate evolution of Epson’s proprietary Micro Piezo printing technology.

Extensive software compatibility

Monna Lisa Evo Tre is designed to interface with all textile CADs and this ensures the printer’s utmost freedom of choice and the use of one or more designs, colour options and printing systems.

The range

The standard versions of the Monna Lisa® are available in three different printing widths: 180, 220 and 320 cm. The 180 and 220 versions can be equipped with 16, 32 or 48 Epson T2 printing heads. The 320 cm version is available with 16 or 32 Epson T2 printing heads.

Monna Lisa® printers can be loaded with 4 colours (double four-colour printing), or with the basic 8 colours of ink by Genesta®, with a choice of the following types: acid, reactive, disperse, pigments or sublimation-disperse (the technical characteristics of which are described in a special section).

All the versions of Monna Lisa use the same printing programme in terms of user interface as well as in terms of connection between the different textile CAD systems available on the market

In addition to making it easier for operators within the same printing company to use the different Monna Lisa models, it also fosters relationships between the company and its clients, encouraging possible collaborations with other printers or with other textile companies involved in digital printing.

Software

The programme that controls Monna Lisa has been designed to combine outstanding performance with extreme versatility and ease of use. The operator is able to control and manage the printing process using a dedicated user interface, which displays the real-time status of the different machine functions on the monitor.

Print settings and control

A number of these parameters can be set at origin directly on the CAD station where the design is processed. The printer operator can make changes to or choose all the free printing parameters, such as, for instance, printing width and length, single or bi-directional printing, etc.

Color control and management

The function keys are divided into 3 separate groups:

  • printer controls
  • design management
  • monitor interface selection

The printed metres are shown continuously on three screens, with relative hourly production data divided into linear metres and square metres.

Control and management of the eight colours loaded into the printer is made simple through a visual representation which shows the ongoing situation in real time.

In addition to levels, other messages show ink status, indicating to the operator not only when cartridges are empty, but also any faults due to errors during loading.

Maintenance

The maintenance section makes it possible to manage all the ancillary print functions, such as head cleaning, performing tests to check nozzles, forcing a specific colour drop heaviness, etc.

For print head cleaning, operators can choose from three levels of intensity: normal, medium or extra. The nozzle check test can be carried out during printing, with no interruption in the continuity of fabric printing.

The forcing of colour drop heaviness can be selected from one of three levels: small, medium or large; it is also possible to choose between normal or extra printing mode.

Printing Rips

Monna Lisa® uses the proprietary “.ROB” file format, which makes it possible to print designs developed using different graphic design systems.

In addition to supporting those companies that use different brands of colorways applications and printing systems for their internal operations, this also makes it possible for the printing company to directly print designs produced by outside companies or by other printing companies.
