Ink charge

The ink delivery system on Monna Lisa® has been specifically designed for using
GENESTA® ink, which is supplied in special air-sealed cartridges (ink technical characteristics are listed in the special dedicated section).
The system, which is integrated in the structure, is on the left of the printer and is accessible through two convenient doors.
It consists of 8 aluminium containers which act as housings for the cartridges which, once positioned, supply the printing heads by means of a pneumatic system.
When the ink cartridges run down during printing, this is indicated to the operator by means of an acoustic warning, and a message appears on the machine control monitor.
This event does not cause any interruption of the printing process because the printer features a supplementary reserve  tank, to allow replacing the cartridge within a certain time, after which, if replacement has not been made, the printer automatically switches to standby.
