To Monna Lisa the special mention “Ecohitech Award 2008” for the reduction of energy consumption
Monna Lisa, a digital printer for textiles produced by Epson piezoelectric inkjet technology F.lli Robustelli, won a special mention “Ecohitech Award 2008” for the reduction of energy consumption in electrical and electronic products category.
The Award Ecohitech, in connection with the tenth edition, is the first and most important award and has the aim of enhancing the products and solutions from the world of electronic and hi-tech that ensure the least environmental impact and increased energy savings.
The event was organized by the Consortium Ecoqual'It (Consortium of services for the eco-quality nell'hitech) to develop products and solutions from the world of electronic and hi-tech to ensure the least environmental impact and increased savings.
The novelty of this tenth edition, unlike the previous which conferred the awards to large corporations and companies of international standing, was the decision to reward small and medium-sized businesses and public administrations "virtuous" with respect to the environment.
The jury, composed of members of the institutional world, gave special mention to the Monna Lisa for the following reasons:

The prestigious award was collected by Riccardo Robustelli of F.lli Robustelli, the award ceremony which was held November 24 in Milan and saw the participation of major high-tech companies and institutional representatives.
Monna Lisa, production-proven digital printer Epson piezoelectric inkjet technology, offers the digital textile market tool to move from the pioneering phase of sampling to manufacturing reliable.
Produced by F.lli Robustelli, uses a new range of water-based inks for textiles and therefore non-toxic inks Genesta, designed by Epson in partnership with For.tex, and formulated to meet the high standards of management and reliability car-coloring-head printer.
Among the features that make the Monna Lisa from a printer innovative environmentally-known the elimination of purification of waste water, which weigh about printing on fabric instead traditional thanks to the digital process behind this printer energy consumption and water are significantly reduced, resulting in less pollution in the areas of process.
Besides its non-toxicity of the inks used, easily disposable cartridges, the Monna Lisa is also characterized by low noise, 40-45 dB 85-90 dB against the traditional printing on fabric.
